Interstellar over The Matrix — by a rounding error, both at 52.5, and the list still had to pick one. Watch them back to back and complain to the arithmetic.
The Avengers tier — both ensemble films clear Alien. That's not a hot take, that's what 1.4M voters each plus strong critic scores do to a 1979 horror film with a fraction of the voter base. If your gut says wrong, take it up with the audience.
The Prestige is science fiction — Christopher Nolan's invention-obsessed duel is filed under Sci-Fi in the genre data, and honestly, it fits better than half the starships in the pool.
